Rodeo time in Houston, the most cowgirl I could get OOTD.

Rodeo season has officially begun in Houston, TX and last night I went with two of my best girls. I’m not a true Texas country girl by any means, my parents are Welsh and when they moved to Texas they didn’t exactly embrace a lot of the Texas country culture. They didn’t hate on it but they didn’t try to pretend to be something that they weren’t. With that said I’ve only been to the Rodeo a handful of times, and usually only when invited. I always say yes though, who says no to a good time with friends. Even though the country music aspect isn’t my thing; the food, carnival and events like mutton bustin’ are my favorite things about the rodeo. The hard part, trying to decide what to wear. I couldn’t resist these new pants we got in at work (French Connection) I mean, who says no to carnation printed jeans? This is the outfit I wore last night and this is the best cowgirl look I could pull off. I later switched the wedges for a pair of half calf boots.

Mad hype. I finally splurged on a pair of pretty, pretty American Apparel disco pants in Midnight Navy. I think this is kind of like my equivalent to a gateway drug. I also bought a pair of Guess Ureeka platforms. So stoked about this purchase. Originally $115.00 and I got them for $50.00. Dealio.
